Years of Sally - 2014
Series 7, of "Not Going Out", was a big one. The first "life" of Lee and Lucy came to an end with marriage and the birth of their first child. In real life Sally was carrying the twins.
The year saw another radio appearance where Sally took on the role, for series 2, of Alice in Jack Docherty's Radio 4 comedy Start/ Stop. A role played by Katherine Parkinson in Series 1 and which would go on to be played by Laura Aikman (Lee's "maybe" daughter in "Not Going Out") in Series 3.
All 3 series of this very funny comedy also featuring, amongst others John Thomson, are available as an Amazon Audible Audio Book under the title "It's not us, it's them".
"Not Going Out", series 7, finally exploded in the episode "Lucy" when Toby tricked Lee into revealing his true feelings to Lucy.
The series had many other funny stories, though, including a Mugging and a A Christening gift. There was the return, to Sally's life, of Alexander Armstrong in a "Pointless" spoof (Sally's real life pregnancy is apparent in this episode). A plane hyjack and a store robbery to name but a few.
"Not Going Out" was never going to be the same again but it had been a great 7 years for Sally.
