Years of Sally - 2006
2006 saw the second and concluding series of Green Wing and the end of Kim Alabaster. Kim continued to get funny lines and scenes throughout the second series. This was the last time that Sally was to appear with Mark Heap (picture in collage) until the 2024 Christmas Special of "Beyond Paradise".
On the stage Sally was to appear in "In Extremis: The Story of Abelard and Heloise". This black comedy debuted in August 2006 and was to revive, for a further run, in 2007. The story is set in twelfth century Paris and tells the story of Abelard, a teacher, who falls in love with his pupil Heloise played by Sally. Much of the comedy surrounds the arrogance of Abelard and the naivety of Heloise.
Over the years Sally has had many "guest" roles in shows. 2006 was no exception.
She had a brief role, as "Pretty Lady Walking a Dog", in a sketch, in the Matt Berry and Rich Fulcher comedy show "Snuff Box".
In "The Bill" Sally played Dee Collier, a rape victim, who is struggling with the traumatic memories as the trial unfolds.
Ray Winstone played the title character is the Private Eye drama Vincent. Sally appeared as a receptionist in episode 3 of the second and final series.
